Formosa @ Sunway Pyramid
Found this gem in Sunway Pyramid ever since my college friends first introduced me to this shop. Since then, I have been coming back regularly to satisfy my cravings for fried chicken. 

Tuck in a corner of Pyramid's Asian Avenue, the restaurant is one of the longest serving eateries in the mall. They earn their crowd's heart through their authentic Taiwanese street food which sells at a bargain price. 

The settings of the place are as followed;
The seats are beside the walkway and are closed to each other but it doesn't feel suffocating. The set up is very minimal as they follow a street food concept. Aside from food being served to you, the restaurant is mainly self-service and you have to order at the counter as well as finding your own seats. 

The menu offers many combinations of their signature dishes. I usually opt for the set that comes with a drink as I find it the most value for money. 

Set B2 (RM 15.10)
Set B2 is my go to which comprises of their signature crispy fried chicken, braised sauce rice and a choice of drink. Overall, the fried chicken is very flavourful and is a bit spicy (I usually ask for more chilli powder for more spice). The fried chicken is also huge however it's actually filled with bones and flour. Nonetheless, the braised rice complements the chicken where there is a mixture of both soft and crispy. 
The drink that comes with the set meal is bright green and may look a bit strange but it's actually just honeydew. I like it because it's not too sweet and the pearls have the right chewiness.

Ambiance: 3/10
Food: 8/10
Verdict: Despite the looks of the place, the food keeps you coming back

Jibril’s Lounge

Jibril cafe Are you a big fan of salted egg butter chicken? If you are then Jibril is a place to check out! They are a halal speakeasy bar that is located in SS15. Usually people tend to come here during dinner time tho it may be a little pack during the day especially after 2pm. It has since became a popular spot for students from Inti University to have their lunch here.  The cafe is slightly hidden as it is behind the brick wall. Outside sells coconut ice cream which means you have to go pass the brick wall to enter the cafe which sometimes can be quite intriguing. The cafe opens until midnight 12am hence late owls get to indulge their dinner here even after dinner hours.  They are famous for their salted egg butter chicken which everyone raves about but if not there are many other options you could choose from. Restoran Oregi, Subang ss15 Restaurant Oregi is a casual dining spot that operates till midnight and this is always a go-to place for students when they do not have any idea where to go for dinner. It is located at the busiest street at Subang which means that it is always crowded.
